The GEL-Advantage 3 is a hard wearing walking shoe that has become popular as a ‘duty shoe’. That is, a shoe for those working in occupations that require them to be standing for long periods of the day. A lower density rubber outsole provides higher levels of grip whilst less porous materials make the shoe less absorbent and therefore easier to clean. A rearfoot GEL unit encased in an EVA midsole produces a comfortable platform and a softer feel under the foot.
A reflective material produced by the 3M company for night safety.
An EVA sockliner moulded to the shape of the foot, which can be removed to accommodate a medical orthotic.
The ASICS GEL System is probably the most famous of all our innovations. To bring about the highest possible shock absorbing effect, the GEL-units are strategically placed in the midsole of the shoe. For the ASICS GEL cushioning system various materials are used. Depending on its function, the GEL-unit contains a siliconebased porous foam, a silicone GEL or a semi-solid silicone substance encapsulated in polyurethane. The shape of the units are also precisely designed to the specific function and position.
Board lasting in the heel area for stability and slip lasting in the forefoot for flexibility.
ASICS High Abrasion Rubber. Tough rubber compound used at the heavy-contact areas of the outersole. Helps cut down on excessive wear.
